[ERA : VAR / Punk, Rock ] The idea of some kind of retrospective was considered & discarded several times in the last few years. Too many songs that at least one member thought simply had to be there. A best 12 was attempted (but) they couldn't get the list below 23 without causing greivous emotional harm to someone. Then a spark of inspiration. Singer Damien Lovelock suggested "give each band member their own CD". Everyone gets a gurnsey. Genius. The choices are made in isolation then compiled at a band meeting where only 2 songs are duplicated on the initial lists. This in itself seems to justify the idea. Guitarist Kent's original list was 16 songs, he deletes 6 songs that are already represented and there you have it : "10,000 days". Just to add a twist each Rifle is invited to nominate the track from the back catalouge that has annoyed or pissed him off the most and re-record it. This is done with the help of former Midnight Oil guitarist Jim Moginie at the desk. These songs become the bonus track on each individual disc. /
